Brain Dump

I need a day to just do nothing. I need a brain dump day. I have so much swirling around in my brain that if I don't get it out of there soon, it will blow. Blah.

Now that it is over I can talk about it. We had a huge, huge health scare here. Without getting specific, let me just say - boy, swollen lymph nodes, CT scans, fights with insurance company to allow coverage we pay for, cells removed and analyzed, not lymphoma - no further treatment needed.

Needless to say, I was a mess for 3 weeks. Oddly enough, the boy involved, Marty and even the other two boys were very calm and collected. After almost 20 years of swimming in this sea of testosterone, I am still not used to the way the male brain works. I don't think I ever will.

So now, we are working on planning the trip. I have two kids to get to Ohio, and one man/child to get to Germany. I have one child to feed while he is in Ohio and I am halfway around the world. I have 1 1/2 carless, gluten free days in Washington DC to plan. I have a party to celebrate the end of the school year to plan. I have a house to get ready to be lived in by just 1 person for 3 months. I have a van that decided to blow a hose, and luckily a friend's husband fixed it - bit there is still something going on. I have a couch to 5 k to finish. I have... well, I have a lot to do. I think that my best bet is to take this weekend as a do nothing but catch up on the 28 episodes of NCIS I have on the DVR, and then come out with by to-do list blazing on Monday.

Yeah. I think that is what I will do.

Love your new look too!

Glad everything is ok health-wise!!!Health scares are not fun-especially ones that last for 3 weeks....

Can't wait to hear more about your trip! How exciting!

Thanks! I am having so much fun playing around with it.

We leave in 64 days - which seems like a lifetime away!

The worst part is the waiting. It should not so long to get such life changing news, you know. Very aggravating!

I was wondering how the "guys" were taking all the "not knowing" and all (but didn't want to pry)...soooo glad it all came back OK...I'm taking this as a "DO AS LITTLE AS I CAN" day....working on laundry and feeding everyone is about as much as I'm doing....lol...

ugh. Krista! hugs

the sea of testosterone is something I suffer from and then I got 2 drama queens thrown in to try to correct the balance. They are doing their best. hang in there! look forward to your trip.
